Daily maintenance
1) Check the hand brake and foot brake.
2) Check the lighting, instrument signal system and various indicators (oil pressure, air reservoir pressure, air filter maintenance indicator, charging indicator).
3) Check the working conditions of the starter and generator and the liquid level of the battery.
4) Check the tire pressure and condition.
5) Check the level of engine oil, coolant and steering gear hydraulic oil.
6) Drain the water in the air reservoir.
Cleaning and inspection of transmission system components
1) Cleaning
The parts of each transmission system assembly may be stained with dirty oil and sludge. Common methods include steam cleaning, gasoline cleaning, acid or alkaline solution cleaning, neutral agent cleaning, trichloroethylene cleaning and magnetic cleaning. Some parts may be damaged during cleaning, so be sure to check carefully during cleaning.
A. Metal parts
● Gasoline cleaning. Unlike other methods, gasoline has almost no infiltration or dissolution capacity for sludge. Unless the surface of the part has been accurately processed, the metal wire brush or other tools can be used to remove the sludge and brush twice.
● Alkaline treatment. If the parts are made of alloy, alkali treatment cannot be used. The effect of cleaning steel castings and iron castings with alkali treatment is very good.
B. Rubber parts
It can be cleaned with alcohol or wiped off with a clean rag.
C. Rust prevention
After removing all waste oil and grease on the surface of parts, apply a layer of clean oil on the surface to prevent corrosion.
2) Check
Before cleaning the parts, use the measuring instrument or tools prepared in advance for inspection. Determine whether the parts are suitable for reuse according to the specified maintenance standards, and repair or replace the damaged parts as required. If one of the matching parts is seriously worn and its assembly clearance exceeds the specified value, the part or matching parts can be replaced as required.
